The technique I used for creating the pieces in this exhibition, is called ma’koos or reverse casting. ma’koos is a method specific to a group of sculptures, primarily found by my master Parviz Tanavoli.

The process for this method is  unlike other procedures in sculpting; whereas the negative spaces of the subject of the piece has to be carved nagatively and executed thereafter.
