Biography
Mona Paad
was born in 1974 in Tehran, Iran. She got her high school diploma in Science. Being also a graduate of IRIB Art and Literature School in “Singing for Choir”, Mona joined the National Symphonic Orchestra at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall in 1991, as a soprano. In addition to taking part in concerts, she led the choir of Al-Zahra University for a while, and she also taught sight singing and classical vocal music, until 2001. -

she worked for big industrial companies
Mona graduated from Al-Zahra University’s faculty of Art, in Industrial Designing. During and after university, she worked for big industrial companies and firms for 14 years, designing, implementing and managing many industrial projects, including designing industrial parts, interior design, furniture design, renovation of buildings and facades, as well as holding professional exhibitions in Tehran and other cities of Iran. -
2006 - 2008
Maakoos Sculptors Group
Mona was never away from volume works and sculpting, and as she was doing other activities she made sculptures, too. In 2006, she finished a sculpture program in MaheMehr Institute under great Parviz Tanavoli’s training and supervision. In the same year, Mona and a number of young sculptors started Maakoos Sculptors Group. Since 2008, Mona has been consistently teaching in MaheMehr Institute as Parvis Tanavoli’s assistant. -

In 2017, she published her translation of the book “Lost wax casting: old, new and inexpensive methods”.
Mona has been Iran’s representative in the International Art Medal Federation (FIDEM), and since 2018, she has been part of the jury in Sohrab Art Medal Competition.
Mona Paad’s works are kept in credible private collections in Tehran, Dubai, England, France, Germany and the US.
